Friends acting badly not funny but the dogs are a different story

147

The past weekend was my birthday, and I went out of town to celebrate. I had two friends who really crossed the line because of acting inappropriately, and there was some very tense moments over the long weekend. Humans are not funny acting out, and humans act out in a derogatory manner. I came back from the trip, and drove four hours this morning for a meeting. I had not spent anytime with the puppies. I come home this evening, and I could not find my dogs. Sid and Cody pulled all my clothes in the suitcase out, and both were sitting in the huge suitcase when I came home tonight. The house has new hardwoods and they are limited in the access to the entire house, but the suitcase stunt was not because of any floor. This was both Sid and Cody acting out, but I could not be angry toward them.....I laughed and I was upset that I did not get a picture of the event...... Our Great American Purpose is the Financial Future of our Children

No greater responsibility is being in a guardianship position of a Mother or Father of children. The closest Dad responsibility is the 15 year old Jack Russell Terriers (boys) that need constant care to survive daily due to being older and approaching the end of their time on this Earth. I ponder of what if both of my boys were with a person or family that neglected them and all the special care required to keep them comfortable and alive. I shudder at the thought, but feel very fortunate to spend every moment taking care and having fun in this precious finite time remaining. One other thought makes me shudder in fear at the possible future that faces our country. The financial fiasco in our debt crisis, and the impact of collapse on children as the defenseless and vulnerable part of our society. In a dismantling of our country, The American Dream is becoming absent in our society. My Dad and Uncle were children in an area and situations against all odds of escaping the life of … [Read more...]

Funny: 14 year old Jack Russell fakes death during business conference call

20120911-154041.jpg

I was on a business conference call when my 14 year old Jack Russell had to go outside. He has health problems, and I looked outside and he was motionless on the ground. He is highly intelligent, and I did not know how to handle the situation with my callers. Excuse me for a minute to inquire if my dog is faking his demise. Leave it to a Jack. … [Read more...]

When I need a good dose of humanity look to my Jack Russells

This is Cody

I had so many serious conversations this week between work, friends, writing, responsibilities, an unexpected death.etc. The next two weeks will be very intense before taking some time to travel and have some fun.....We make things difficult as humans...We hold grudges with families...We make it easier to point blame than to discuss.....We make it easier to forget what really matters.....We make it about me and not we.....Life has such a finality. I received a phone call this week about someone who played a very important role in my life as a teenager had died.....I know that this death brought a finality and reality of that life....Resolution was no more....I need simplification. I look at Sid and Cody. Why do we make life so difficult as humans? I have two soon to be 14 yo Jack Russell Terriers, and they are way past the prime of puppy life. However, old age for both and terminal condition of my oldest one does not stop their simple love of life. They live each to the maximum … [Read more...]
