The recent win in Illinois by Mitt Romney may have statistically brought Romney closer to securing the Republican nomination, but that does not stop the controversy from raging. Some insiders who spoke anonymous on the discontent within the party had one question “why”. Why are the Republicans not attacking Obama instead of each other? Why is the establishment so gun-ho over Romney no matter what the cost? Why is Romney so electable against Obama when he is spending 7 to 1 in the primary with not impressive results ?

One Republican insider speaking on condition of confidentiality is concerned about the ill focus fight against President Obama. The Republican infighting is leaving a breach of disrepair in the party. This breach is distracting the one common goal to defeat President Obama. As the insider discussed, ” all concerted efforts should be made against President Obama, but instead all concerted efforts are being made to destroy ourselves(Republican Party).” As the insider described, we (Republicans) are handing the election of 2012 to President Obama, and the Republican Party can blame no one but itself.

Another worst case scenario is the establishment of the Republican party. Donor, political consultants, and others in the party are claiming that the establishment is supporting Mitt Romney with no holes barred, and no consideration is Mitt Romney is the best candidate against President Obama. The establishment is so concentrated on the nomination of Mitt Romney that a political donor stated that at a recent conference . All donors were instructed to support Mitt Romney, and the donor stated that there was no choice on who he had  to support for the nomination. In addition, news outlets such as Fox News have been instructed to paint a rosy picture of  Mitt Romney. An insider states that the establishment is using every means possible to control the outcome of the Republican nomination for President, and and the establishment’s outcome has one candidate in mind that is Mitt Romney. The question by a number of Republicans outside the establishment is “why”? Why is the establishment throwing all the effort behind one candidate without regards of the free will of the people? It is the establishment’s way or no way. Why? Is this a democracy? Or Communism?

In the establishment’s assessment of the 2012 election, Romney equals electability. The chosen one to beat President Obama is Mitt Romney among the establishment’s belief in the Republican Party.  One insider questions this blind handover of the nomination to Mitt Romney through the control of funds, media, and message to ensure a Mitt Romney victory. The question by this insider is why Romney?  Why is Romney spending the amount of   money against his opponents ( 7 to 1) and clear victory of the nomination is still far away? Why is Romney having the difficulty connecting to the people? Why the difficulties in the South? Why has Romney been so unable to make a true stand against Obama? Why are the other candidates being forced to consider submission because of the establishment’s unquestionable support of Romney? Why are all these questions remain about Romney? With all these questions, Why Romney?

In the endgame of the Election 2012 according to the insider, can Romney beat Obama in a debate? Can Romney outmaneuver Obama? Is Romney more likable than Obama? The real question is the only question. Can Romney truly beat Obama in a Presidential Elections? The insider claims with all these outstanding questions and doubts. Romney’s electability is not a certainty against President Obama. The real questions Republicans should be asking about Romney. Why?

Rick Santorum’s win in Louisiana according to sources makes the question more viable than ever before in this race. Why Romney?

I have been asking myself that question for months.

I, for one, am sick of the establishment on both the Left and the Right shoving crap down the throats of Americans that we find, for the most part, extremely distasteful. Therefore, I am taking a stand here. Now.

I suspect that I am not alone.
